Coating Products OHZ e. K. is an owner-managed specialist distributor of high-quality additives, colorants and special pigments, based in Osterholz-Scharmbeck near Bremen.

We supply paint and coatings manufacturers, compounders, masterbatch producers, the plastics industry and cosmetics manufacturers – nationally and internationally. Our focus is on organic microspheres (Polypearl™), functional coating additives and special pigments with distinctive optical effects.

Coating Products was founded in 1999 and can therefore look back on more than 25 years of experience in the distribution of specialty additives. During this time we have established ourselves as a reliable partner for the coatings, paints, cosmetics and plastics industries.

Our company is based in Osterholz-Scharmbeck, a town in the Osterholz district in the Bremen metropolitan region. Our exact address is: Sachsenring 11, 27711 Osterholz-Scharmbeck, Germany.

Seven employees. Coating Products is a lean, specialised team of experts with many years of experience in the additive, pigment and colour chip sector. Our manageable size is an advantage: customers have direct access to decision-makers and technical specialists.

Our range covers five main areas:

• Polypearl™ microspheres – organic microspheres made from PMMA, PMSQ, PS and PBMA for matting, light diffusion, soft-feel and anti-blocking
• Coating additives – functional additives for paints and coatings, including matting agents, slip additives, scratch resistance and soft-feel additives
• Additives for cosmetic products – for skin care, sun cream, make-up and decorative cosmetics

Our products are used in the paints and coatings industry (industrial coatings, wood coatings, UV coatings, waterborne coatings), the plastics industry (masterbatches, compounds, films), the cosmetics industry (sun cream, skin care, decorative cosmetics), the electronics industry (LED covers, light profiles) and in the construction sector (floor coatings with colour chips). We are happy to advise you on selecting the right product for your specific application.

Yes. Technical advice is a central part of our service. We support you in selecting the appropriate additive or pigment for your application, with dosage recommendations and incorporation guidance, and in assessing compatibility with your formulation system. Yes, samples can be requested directly via our contact form or by e-mail at info@coating-products.com. Please state your desired product grade, the intended use and your contact details. We normally dispatch samples within 3 working days.

We operate internationally and supply customers in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Our website is available in German, English, Spanish and Portuguese – a reflection of our global B2B orientation.

The minimum order quantity depends on the product and ranges from 1 kg to 20 kg. In general, our delivery quantities are based on the requirements of our B2B customers.

Sustainability is important to us. Coating Products is EcoVadis certified – an internationally recognised standard for corporate sustainability (CSR). We ship samples carbon-neutrally and continuously work to improve our environmental and social impact.

Coating Products currently holds EcoVadis certification in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. Further certificates and memberships in professional associations are available on request.

Yes. Sample shipments are dispatched carbon-neutrally. We strive to make larger deliveries as environmentally friendly as possible and work with logistics partners that comply with sustainability standards.
