Organic and anorganic microbeads

CopoBeads are microbeads based on organic and inorganic polymers with different particle sizes and a controlled, homogeneous particle size distribution. CopoBeads micropearls are used as a light diffusion agent in optical films such as diffuser films, back coating for prism film and refection film.

Furthermore the microbeads are used as high performance additives for coatings and paint, leather coatings, compounds, foils, plastics, rubber and masterbatches.

E+

Spherical silicone micro powder

E+ is a spherical, organosilicon micro powder based on Polymethysilsesquioxane (PSMQ). As micro powder E+ has a fine and narrow particle-size distribution. E+ is available in average particle sizes from 0.8 μm up to 15.0 μm. E+ scores with excellent chemical and physical properties. That includes an excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents. Furthermore, E+ silicone micro powder possesses high temperature stability.

Due to the hydrophobic character it will be achieved a water-repellent effect by E+. The soft grip and high optical and mechanical performance are the main benefits of the three dimensional silicon resin powder. Due to the wide compatibility and excellent flow properties E+ spherical silicone resin powder are used in wide variety of applications.

Elasphere B8

Spherical silicone resin hybrid

Elasphere is a fine dispersed, spherical micro powder consisting of Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surrounded by a shell of Polymethylsilsesquioxane (PSMQ). As a hybrid of the soft silicone elastomer core (PDMS) coated with PMSQ, Elasphere is characterized by a excellent resistance to high temperature and chemicals. Furthermore, Elasphere generates a soft and smooth feeling to your product. Additionally, Elasphere offers outstanding heat and cold resistance as well as water-repellency. The average particle-size of Elasphere is 8 μm.

Silnos

Spherical amorphous silica micro beads

SILNOS is an amorphous, spherical silicon dioxide powder (SiO2) for use in various applications. SILNOS improves physical and chemical properties of your product significantly. As inorganic compound SILNOS is extremely resistant to chemicals and temperature. Additionally, SILNOS offers a high resistance to acids and solar radiation.

SILNOS has two different lines with different characteristics. These solid and hollow balls are available in particle-sizes from 3 μm up to 9 μm. All SILNOS silica micro beads offer special lubricating and light diffusing functions for a wide range of applications.

Special feature: All SILNOS silica micro beads can be modified with a multitude of functional organic and inorganic materials. Furthermore, the surface of all SILNOS silica microsphere can be modified by customer’s request to meet application requirements.

CopoBeads PMMA

PMMA microbeads

CopoBeads PMMA microbeads are based on a network of Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) with a narrow and homogeneous particle-size distribution. Several grades with particle-sizes from 5 µm up to 50 µm are available. CopoBeads are characterized by high resistance to temperature and solvents. Additionally, scratch resistance of your product is improved by CopoBeads. Due to the good affinity to resin and solvents, as well as food approval the PMMA microbeads are used in a wide field of applications.

Special feature: Besides the spherical shape, CopoBeads PMMA microbeads are available in two additional particle forms.

On the one hand Coffeebean particles in Coffeebean shape. Cofeebean particle are very soft and are suitable to improve haptic “soft feel”. The average particle-size is 10 μm. On the other hand hemisphere particles for soft feel applications. The average particle-size is 7 μm.

PBMA microbeads

CopoBeads PBMA microbeads are based on Polybutymethacrylate (PBMA). CopoBeads PBMA microbeads are softer than PMMA microbeads. Due to the soft feel effect of PBMA microbeads, they do improve the haptic of your product significant. Preferred area of application are texturing and soft feel agent in leather and industrial coatings. The average particle size is 5 µm.
